- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 2 eggs
- ¾ cup walnuts, chopped
- ¾ cup chocolate chunks
- ¾ cup dates, pitted and chopped
